My degree has given me a broad base of knowledge and prepared me for the role as deputy director by allowing me a better understanding of people. I learned how to solve a variety of problems, good communication skills and most importantly, critical thinking and ethics based skills.

My job has many facets but I find that the soft skills, like critical thinking, collaboration, and problem solving are the skills that have played the most important role in my career and allowed me to become a leader not just a manager. Humanities gives us the ability to see the big picture and adjust our response appropriately.
